How to buy EURO, step by step

If you have never used crypto before, this is for you. Follow it in order and you cannot go wrong. Take your time, and do not skip the warning right below.

โš  The one rule you must never break.

You must never send money directly from an exchange (Binance, Coinbase, OKX, Bybit, etc.) to the EURO address or to anyone. An exchange account is not a wallet you can buy EURO from. First you move your ETH out of the exchange into your own wallet (Steps 1 to 4 below), and only then do you buy EURO from that wallet (Step 5). If you send straight from an exchange, that money is gone for good. It cannot be recovered, and we are not responsible for any mistake you make.

In plain words, you need just two things: (1) your own wallet and (2) a little ETH inside it, on the Base network. Here is exactly how to get both.

1

Get your own wallet (a "web3" or "self-custody" wallet)

This is an app you control, where only you have the password and secret recovery phrase. All of the wallets below support the Base network, which is where EURO lives. Pick one, install it, and write your recovery phrase on paper. Never share that phrase with anyone, ever.

MetaMask

The most popular wallet. Phone app or browser extension. It already knows the Base network (choose "Base" from the network list at the top).

Supports Base

Coinbase Wallet

A separate app from the Coinbase exchange. Base is Coinbase's own network, so it works out of the box. Great for beginners.

Supports Base

Trust Wallet

Simple, mobile-first wallet. Base is built in. Owned by Binance's ecosystem, easy to use on the phone.

Supports Base

Binance Web3 Wallet

Built inside the Binance app (Menu โ†’ Web3 Wallet). Handy if you already use Binance, because you can withdraw straight into it. Supports Base.

Supports Base

OKX Wallet

Built into the OKX app, or as a browser extension. Supports Base. Convenient if you buy your ETH on OKX.

Supports Base

Rabby

A polished wallet by the DeBank team, loved for clear transaction previews. Base is included.

Supports Base

Rainbow

A friendly, beautiful mobile wallet. Base is supported natively. Nice for first-timers.

Supports Base

Phantom

Well known for Solana, it now also supports Ethereum and Base. Switch it to the Base network before receiving.

Supports Base

Zerion

Wallet plus portfolio tracker. Supports Base. Good if you like seeing everything in one place.

Supports Base

Ledger (hardware)

A physical device for the safest storage. Use it through Ledger Live or with MetaMask, and add the Base network. Best for larger amounts.

๐Ÿ’ก What is "Base"? Base is a fast, very low-fee network built on top of Ethereum. Your wallet can hold ETH on several networks. For EURO you always use the Base network. Your wallet address (the long code starting with 0x) is the same across these networks, but the network you send on must be Base.
2

Copy your wallet's receiving address

  1. Open your wallet and, if there is a network selector at the top, set it to Base.
  2. Tap "Receive" (or your account name / the address shown at the top).
  3. You will see a long code that starts with 0x followed by 40 characters. That is your address. Tap Copy.
  4. Keep it ready. In the next step you paste it into the exchange so your ETH knows where to go.
๐Ÿ’ก Your address is safe to share for receiving funds. It is not your secret recovery phrase. Never share your 12 or 24 word recovery phrase with anyone, and no real support person will ever ask for it.
3

Buy ETH on your exchange

Use whichever exchange is available in your country (Binance, Coinbase, OKX, Bybit, Kraken, KuCoin, Crypto.com, and others). You are buying plain Ethereum (ETH), nothing fancy.

  1. Create and verify your account (ID check) if you have not already.
  2. Add money using your card or a bank transfer.
  3. Buy ETH (Ethereum) with that money. Buy a little more than you plan to spend, because a small amount of ETH is also used to pay the tiny network fee.
4

Withdraw your ETH to your wallet, on the Base network

This is the most important step. You are moving the ETH out of the exchange into the wallet from Step 1. When it asks which network, you must choose Base.

On Binance

  1. Go to Wallet โ†’ Withdraw and choose ETH.
  2. Choose "Send via crypto network" and paste your wallet address (from Step 2) into the address box. Or, to keep it inside Binance, pick Binance Web3 Wallet as the destination.
  3. When it asks for the network, select Base. (Do not pick Ethereum/ERC-20, BSC, Arbitrum, or anything else.)
  4. Enter the amount, confirm, and approve the security checks. Your ETH arrives in your wallet in a minute or two.

On Coinbase

  1. Go to your ETH balance and tap Send.
  2. Paste your wallet address.
  3. Choose the Base network when asked.
  4. Confirm and send.

On OKX, Bybit, KuCoin and most others

  1. Open Withdraw, select ETH.
  2. Paste your wallet address.
  3. Set the network to Base.
  4. Confirm and send.

Check twice before you confirm: the network is Base, and the address matches yours (compare the first 4 and last 4 characters). If your exchange does not offer Base, do not withdraw on a different network hoping it lands on Base. Instead use an exchange that supports Base (Binance, Coinbase, OKX and Bybit all do). New to this? Send a tiny test amount first (for example a couple of dollars of ETH), confirm it arrives, then send the rest.

5

Buy EURO from your wallet

Now that the ETH is in your own wallet on Base, buying EURO is easy. There are two ways, pick whichever you like.

Option A, the simplest: send ETH, get EURO

  1. In your wallet, make sure the network is Base, and tap Send.
  2. Paste the official EURO buy address:
๐Ÿ‘‡ Send your ETH to this address (Base network)
0xB6869fA4AB76648eb207f432f15208d1Cf6aD1A6 Basescan โ†—
  1. Enter how much ETH you want to spend and confirm. Let your wallet set the network fee automatically.
  2. Within seconds, EURO is sent back to the same wallet automatically, at a fixed price of $1.10 per EURO (converted from a live ETH/USD price). Done.

Option B: swap on our website

Go to eurofi.org โ†’ Buy EURO, connect your wallet, and swap ETH or USDC into EURO right on the page. Your keys always stay yours.

๐Ÿ’ก Don't see your EURO? In your wallet tap "Add token" / "Import token" and paste the official EURO contract 0x832BCceD5bD431b31663576490344EA1c0Bea295, or use the "Add EURO to wallet" button on our homepage.

Quick safety checklist

  • โœ… I withdrew ETH to my own wallet, not sent it from the exchange directly.
  • โœ… I chose the Base network on every step.
  • โœ… I double-checked the address (first 4 and last 4 characters).
  • โœ… I kept a little ETH in my wallet for the network fee.
  • โœ… I never shared my secret recovery phrase with anyone.
  • โœ… I sent a small test first if I was unsure.

Please read. Crypto transactions are final and cannot be reversed. If you send from an exchange directly, send on the wrong network, or paste a wrong address, the funds are lost and no one can recover them. EURO is a self-custody utility token, it is not an investment, its price can go down, and you are responsible for your own transactions. EUROFI cannot be held responsible for mistakes. If in doubt, ask in our community before you send.
